Climbing Mt Ngungun

The Woody Family Climbed Mt Ngungun

On Sunday 27th June two of our Woody Boys, Dad and Me (Mum) climbed Mt Ngungun at the Glasshouse Mountains for my birthday fun 🙂 It’s not our first time to climb the Mountain, but is the first time I remembered the video camera.

Here is how baby woody is so very cheeky, and such a mountain goat!

I love School holidays, it gives us so much time to experience what we love to do……walking.

What are your favorite holiday outings?

Oldest Boy Turned 16

Our Oldest Woody Boy Turned 16!!!

Yesterday our oldest Woody Boy had his birthday…gosh time fly’s by far too much. Tomorrow is his party. I am amazed with how quick time has gone by….I can remember holding him as a baby and now he is old enough to get his car licence !!!

We are being double brave this year. We had a party for our youngest last weekend and now we are having one for our oldest 🙂

With Woody Oldest boy party I wanted to keep it small, because it is a sleep over party. So only a few invitations were handed out. With big instructions…”Non Alcohol Party/Non Drug Party”……If any of the kids are caught with alcohol or drugs then I will be calling up the parents and they can come to get their children. I am such a “Mean Mummy”…… 🙂

How many parties have you been brave enough to have?  What were your parties like? Be great to hear your experiences !!

Out Of The Mouth Of Babes

From The Mouth Of Babes

I love hearing how children talk, and how they take everything literally!!

On the weekend just gone, we had a quick getaway to Rainbow Beach.  While we were there we got to see the different colours in the sand at the Sand blow.

After returning home the boys had much to discuss over the next few days, and to say what their favorite from the day was. We have a saying in our house….where at the end of the day we ask each boy what their favorite was from the day. Each time we ask each Woody boy we are blown away by their answer.

From the Mouth Of A Babe

Our youngest Woody boy was on the phone to his grandparents and I happened to walk by and catch what he was saying…..

“Now I know where Rainbows come from Grandma. They come from Rainbow beach. They start at the beach and then are put in the sky so we can see them”.

How priceless is that? I love how simple they like to make things.

Have you got a wonderful saying that your child has said? What has come out of the mouth of a babe in your household? Would love to hear your thoughts…and hear how cute your little one is?

Our Kids Today

Here are my thoughts about the society of our young children, our future generation…….

This Poem “Our Kids Today” is dedicated to all who are concerned about our Children

What has become of our kids today?

Can you remember the times it was safe to roam?

Can you remember the times we had fun,

for hours on end and no one knew where we were?

What has become of our kids today?

They are happy to play computer games,

have a television in their room, with their own DVD, Game Station,

a Wii, D.S  and internet too.

But ask them to put it all down,

Switch it all off,

Open up the window for fresh air,

Turn off the Air Conditioner,

Switch off the mobile phone.

Turn it all off, Tune it all out and go for a walk.

It’s like we are asking them to cut off their own leg arm or both.

WHat has become of our kids today?

If the kids do not have all of the above they ask why?

Kids don’t get how to have fun anymore.

Send them out in the great outdoors and they have not a clue……

It’s such a shame, Such a Shame.

To see our kids locked up in doors, with no sun or surf or fun

Is a crime.

Turn off the power Mum’s and Dads

Let our kids become kids once again,

Push them out the door and let them explore.

What Has Become Of Our Kids Today?

These are my thoughts and feelings. They may not be yours, or you may agree!!! I write from the heart and am not here to write to upset anyone. So if you do not agree with my poem please be nice with your comments. All negative (horrible) comments will be deleted.

What are your thoughts about “Our Kids Today”.

You Say, I Say, Who Says?

This Poem Is Dedicated to my amazing Woody Teenage Boys 🙂

You Say, I Say, Who Says?

You Say One Thing

I say Another

Your Friends say something and I wonder

Who you really believe, who you really trust

For I have walked your path before

as a Mum, as friend, as a lover,

as a small girl, as a daughter, as a sister,

as a Aunt and as a Granddaughter

Who Says what you need to hear?

What you need to know?

I say what I think is best to keep you safe

You say what you think you know you are talking about

BUT do you really know who says the words that will have

the best impact on your life?

Who says the right words so you can become the best person you were born to be?

I say I love you,

I say I want you to be happy

You Say I know.

Who says what you need to know?

Who says the words that are right?

Who says you will become what may?

I say that please do stay true to yourself so that one day you have the chance

to have your say.

You Say, I Say, Who Says?

Please Keep My Boys safe into young men, into young adults and into grown Men.

Thank you for letting me share my thoughts with you 🙂

Do you have teenage children? Stop by here and let me know your thoughts.

With love and wishes

Cute Kids

Cutest Kid on earth.

We have the cutest kid on earth….and I am not being a “Mum”!!

Our baby woody who is four has the most cutest personality ever. He has all four of his brothers personality rolled into one.  Don’t know how he got to be so cute, not sure where he gets all cute sayings from 🙂

Cute Sayings….

The latest saying is ” I love you for a week”. I keep laughing and say “I love you for ever and ever”. He smiles and reply’s “I love you for a week”. How did he learn that? Where did he learn that from? Not sure because the other boys have never said it to us before.  The other Woody’s say “I love you” which we reply back “I love you”.

He is so cute that I want to bottle him up, I don’t want him to grow up. I know that he will need to grow as the others have grown.  I know that he is the age for school next year, but I do not want him to loose his cutie pie personality. Why should I let him go to school, to mix with other children and pick up there habits. Can’t he stay this age for ever and ever as a Cute Kid.

Look at my cutie pie smile!!

Look at my cutie pie smile!!

Cutie Pie Saying!!

We have a saying between Baby Woody and I.

Mummy Woody:- Can I eat you all up?

Baby Woody:- No you can’t eat Kyle all up.

Mummy Woody:- Why not, you are so yummy I want to kiss you all over and eat you up!!

Baby Woody:- But if you eat me up, you will have no more Kyles and then you will be sad because you love me.

Mummy Woody:- Oh that’s right, I forgot that!! I do love you and I always want Kyle. Mummy is only kidding.

Baby Woody:- But I told you that before (with a look on his face that says “you are silly”!) ….he has the most funny voice when he says it !!

So cute. Never want him to change.

But Change they do….and in the blink of an eye as well.

Here’s to Cute Kids. Do you have the cutest kid story? Share and laugh with us Woody’s as we raise them and try to stay sane.
