Woody Boys Are Over Excited

The Woody Boys Are Over The Moon….

Today we have very good news, the best.

We got told that we were approved for a house at the Glass House Mountains. We have only missed out on two houses so far!!!

But today I had my paper work in super early, all the “ticks” ticked, all the “crosses” crossed, and enough information to put us in the lead.

Then returned home to wait…thinking it takes at least 24 hours to be approved. Within three hours we got the phone call “Yes” you have been approved.

I shouted with joy and jumped around the house screaming…not sure what the three younger woody boys thought of a screaming Mama!!

Not sure how the older boy is going to take the news but we will cross that bridge when we get to it….he returns from a army cadet camp this Friday!!!

Oh Happy Days 🙂

Now I am madly packing and cleaning so that by this weekend we are gone.

The best news is the house has a Cubby house. The boys have ALWAYS wanted one and I promised that we would get one when we moved, the house comes with one!!! Be great to get photos of there smile when we have moved, so I must remember not to pack the camera.

Here’s to 2010 be our year, the year the boys have fun in their new house and for a year of getting ready to hit the road.

Say GoodBye To One And Hello To Another

Mixed Up Weird Day….

Today was flat out….so flat out that I was eating breakfast, filling up drink bottles and trying to vacuum the carpet all at the same time!!! Wished I had more hands some days.

Today I said good bye to Hayden, our oldest boy as he went away to two weeks of Army Cadets training in Brisbane.

Before he had to go he needed a hair cut (gosh why couldn’t he tell me that yesterday) and had to have his room completely packed up….He will be away when we are moving. I also had to pick up one of his friends from the other side of town at his house, and get back to Wamuran to drop them off to another of his friends before 12.30 – lunch time today!!!

Saying Good Bye To My Oldest.

I could not take him into Brisbane due to the fact that I was picking up Cameron from the train station. So today was a sad Goodbye to my oldest boy and a sweet Hello from our fourth boy 🙂

It was such a bitter sweet day today….My oldest boy is 15 1/2 and due to the strict rules with Army Cadets he had to shave his face on the weekend just gone!! Shaving and his only 15 1/2!! So Not Ready for any of this.

The icing on the cake was Cameron. I remember almost crying saying Goodbye to Hayden because this camp is really important to him. It will be two weeks of hard work/lots of study for him to pass his test and move up on his rank. I cried Tears Of Joy when Cameron got of the train. Three of us were sitting on the train station waiting for the train to pull in.  As soon as we saw the lights change colour we knew the train was coming.

We stood up and walked towards the front of the train because this is where the Woody boys and Grandma are usually sitting when they come back from Bundy to home. I saw Grandma and then saw Cameron but they were yet to see us….they had that look of “where is Mum? Where is Nicholas and Kyle?” searching the crowd of happy families waiting for their loved ones.

I spoke loud enough for Cameron to hear us…and he ran, throwing himself into my arms. It would have to be the first time any of the Woody boys have ever done that to me…..I suppose its the first time that I have been there for them to get of the train – normally I am running a few minutes late.

I cried…It was the sweetest moment from Cameron, the sweetest moment in a while, the love was pouring out of his arms with “I have so missed you mummy and have missed your cuddles. I couldn’t wait for one of your cuddles”

Oh please stay sweet and young forever Cameron.

Stay Safe Hayden on your two weeks away…..Bring you back to me in one piece!!!

Say Goodbye To One And Hello To Another was my day.

What was yours?

Cheers

Trip To Canberra

Two Days In Canberra was not long enough.

I recently went to Canberra to meet a coach within Paul Blackburns team and to spend time with my brothers.

The meeting was very productive, and will be helping our family to move our life forward but what was also the best bit over the 1 1/2 days was showing my brother the sites of Canberra.

Mind you he has lived in Canberra for eight years but has not seen the sights!!

He drove (i dragged him) to the New Parliament House, The War Memorial and then we went to see ADFA (the outside of ADFA) and to see the outside of his work.

I love the trees in Canberra. Here in Queensland we don’t get to see the seasons change through out the year but in Canberra you can tell by the trees what time of the year it is.

Here is a statue outside the War Memorial, for the lost men in the war that can not be accountable for. David (my brother) loved the look of how proud this statue is.

Outside the New Parliament House.  David was getting very excited by seeing all the sites and started to experiment with taking shots with the camera!!

My brother David and I had a ball, but one and 1/2 days was far too short. We went sight seeing but it was a very quick glipse seeing trying to see the major spots.

Next Trip To Canberra

I have sent postcards from the airport so that the boys can get excited with seeing the sites of Canberra, and I so can not wait to I return again…this time with all of my family, showing them how beautiful Canberra is.

Love sent to my Brothers and Step Dad and his wife in Canberra.

Looking Forward to our Next Trip To Canberra.

Till next time…

stay Safe, Happy, Well, Healthy, Rich and true to yourself.
